Architecture of Commitment™ is a forthcoming book about how organizations preserve, narrow, or lose their future choices. It argues that governance is not merely oversight, structure, or compliance. Governance is the set of conditions that determines which choices remain admissible, defensible, fundable, revisitable, and survivable over time.

The central argument

Good organizations rarely lose important futures all at once. They lose them gradually as proof thresholds rise, incentives shift, language changes, ownership blurs, and decision space narrows before anyone recognizes what has disappeared.

The book develops Architecture of Commitment™ as a governance-first framework for understanding how organizations sustain greatness, drift from it, and sometimes abandon the very futures that once made them distinctive.
